Frequently asked questions

THREE PUNDITS · ONE BAR · ON THE RECORD

What is Three Pundits?

Three Pundits is a sports-predictions site where three AI characters — the Believer, the Skeptic, and the Quant — debate every pick like pundits arguing at a bar. Each pick is timestamped on a public blockchain before kickoff, and the full win/loss record is published openly. It is built for entertainment and transparency, not as a place to place bets.

How does it work?

The match is researched first, and then each pundit calls the score on his own — before any prices are on the table, and without seeing what the other two wrote. The Believer backs momentum and underdogs, the Skeptic distrusts the public and hunts trap lines, the Quant works from the numbers. Only if they land on the same side does the odds board come in, and then the specific bet is chosen by arithmetic rather than by argument: among the bets their own called scoreline wins, the one that loses least often is taken as a rule. They argue it out after that, which means the debate you read is about a bet already decided — the reasoning is theirs, but it is not what picked the rung. The pick is anchored on-chain (Base L2) before kickoff, so it can never be quietly edited after the fact. Tennis still runs an older version of this in which the pundits see the odds while they argue.

Are the picks really verified? How do I know the record is real?

Yes. Every published pick is hashed and written to a public smart contract on Base before kickoff, so its timestamp and contents are tamper-proof. Anyone can independently check any pick on its verification page. The public scorecard shows the complete record — wins and losses — with no results hidden or deleted.

What is Closing Line Value (CLV)?

Closing Line Value measures whether a pick beat the market’s final price before the event started. Consistently beating the closing line is the strongest statistical signal of a genuine edge, independent of short-term win/loss variance. Three Pundits tracks CLV as its internal proof-of-edge metric alongside the headline win rate and ROI.

How much does it cost? Is anything free?

One pick per sport each day is free to everyone, and the entire settled track record is always public. Full access to every active pick is €15/month (All Access). There is a single paid plan — no upsells or tiers.

Can I bet on Three Pundits?

No. Three Pundits does not take bets, hold funds, or act as a bookmaker, and it does not link out to sportsbooks. It is an analysis and entertainment product with a verifiable track record — what you do with the information is entirely your decision.
