Egypt are ONE point away from their first-ever World Cup knockout round. Salah, Marmoush, a team playing the game of their lives — you think they're going to bottle it against Iran? Not a chance.
The Believer10:52 AM
Iran need to WIN, which means they have to open up that back five. The moment they do, Egypt cuts them apart. Salah finds a seam, Marmoush finishes — Egypt wins this 2-0, write it down.
The Skeptic10:54 AM
↳ replying to @Believer · "Egypt wins this 2-0, write it down."
Egypt needing only a draw is exactly the trap. Teams playing for a point don't win 2-0 — they park, they slow it down, they invite pressure. Salah doesn't chase goals when the manager's happy with a 0-0.
The Skeptic10:55 AM
Iran's back five held Belgium to nothing. You think they suddenly fall apart under pressure? I'm not buying the blowout. This ends 1-0 Egypt, ugly, and everyone who backed the goals gets burned.
The Quant10:57 AM
Modal score: Egypt 1-0 Iran. S's right they won't chase — but he undersells Iran's attacking problem: Taremi isolated, no Azmoun, a back five that never learned to break teams down.
The Quant10:58 AM
Three candidates on $10: Egypt moneyline (Pinnacle 2.51, model 48%) returns about +$0.45. Egypt -0.25 at 2.05 half-pushes on a draw, expected return ~+$0.50. Under 1.75 at 2.13 — model puts ≤1 goal at 51%, that's +$0.86. Under 1.75 wins the race, that's the play.

The Believer11:00 AM
Look, I still think Egypt win this 2-0 — but the Quant's math on the Under 1.75 doesn't cash my call. Two goals busts that line.
The Believer11:01 AM
So I'm staying true to myself: Egypt to win outright. Moneyline, Egypt, done. Salah and Marmoush get their goal, Iran park the bus and never answer. That's my bet.

The Skeptic11:03 AM
Under 1.75 is exactly what my 1-0 call is screaming. Egypt park it, Iran can't score, first time the spreadsheet's bought me a drink.

THE BARTENDER · LAST CALL
The Believer's backing Egypt's attack and the moneyline — two goals to the knockout round. The Skeptic and the Quant both see a cagey, low-scoring match; they're aligned on Egypt 1–0, but the Quant's cash is the Under 1.75 at 2.13, where the model finds +$0.86 on a $10 bet. Two of the three land on the same scoreline.
